B1.3 Rationale

One important step to the solution of the named problems is the objective of the HHS-project:

Analysis and understanding of information inheritance principles and processes in nature. The concept to learn from nature and human is not new but still fragmentary in science. To mention: the connectionist approach, pattern recognition and data mining, artificial intelligence, expert systems. These researches evolved in coherence with technical possibilities and advances of biological and societal studies. A broad multidisciplinary research of knowledge models is necessary to create hybrid human-machine societies, which is the internals of advancing AmI.

It is well known that the future ICT systems are more and more science embedded and user centred. Apart the needs of specific scientific and businesses computation systems have to provide more and more intelligence. The requirements analysis shows the lack of base research results in information regulation principles of individual and societal behaviour, in  hereditary ICT systems and solutions. The question is in developing and owning the technologies, which, being in line with the determined ambitious perspectives of 6th FP is also the key issue of future ICT businesses. Experimentation on technologies in question is possible on base of knowledge available today - algorithms, adaptive and developing systems. This will provide some approximate solution and functionality, for experimentation, without a guarantee of effective functionality. The effectiveness of such systems requires specific researches, which, in future, will become the basis of the targeted next generation solutions.
