We intend to participate in the T1 activity from the scheme presented in EoI; we have experience in specific sensors design and use, in data acquisition, specialized data logger design and in the precision mechanical part if necessary (for example we realized sealed devices working in oil hole, at medium and high depth). Our institute has a department for scientific instruments and research devices and we have participated in a series of projects in the field of environment protection, landslides prediction, micro-earthquakes registration, as part of some national and international programs.   Also, another activity where we can be involved is S3, for modeling, simulation and statistical interpretation of data, of course in a close collaboration with the other partners, that would provide the scientific models of the observed phenomenon.           

  I. Our advices, costructive critics 1.       PatiMon project could be also extend for the patient monitoring stationary systems in the aim of preventing the large area spreaded diseases. For example: -computer aided monitoring system for dietotherapy treatment of the patients with metabolic diseases: diabetes, obesity, dilipidemia, hyperuricemia. -computer aided monitoring system for rehabilitation of the patients with equilibrium disorders resulting from vascular cerebral accidents, orthopedic surgical operations, etc.

The objectives of the project could be completed with: -setting out sensors types, which can be used for the proposed aim -setting out monitoring methods and their validation -medical certification of sensors – signal processing systems.

II. Description of our institute skills 1.      

Research in the field of human equilibrium: -Realization of an human equilibrium control electronic equipment ( electronic platform coupled to a computer provided with specialized software for determination of equilibrium parameters) -Realization of the reference data base, with equilibrium parameters for healthy subjects -Clinical experimentation for diagnosis and monitoring the treatment of patients with equilibrium disorders -Clinical experimentation for equilibrium rehabilitation with visual biofeedback method -Joint research activities with physicians in the fields: neurology, otorhinolaryngology, medical rehabilitation.

Research in the field of metabolic diseases: -Research for realization of a computerized system for monitoring dietotherapy of patients with metabolic diseases.( The system is in course of realization and it will consist of a PC software, a device for recordig a memory card and a specialized electronic scale) . -Joint research activities with physicians of metabolic diseases clinics. Research and realization of medical devices: -Volumetric pump with automat delivery of drugs, used in diabetes, pain relief medicamentation, hormone therapy, rehydratation -Elements for orthopedic and dental implant -New fixing systems for bones fragments in orthopedic and maxillofacial surgery -Equipments for bones preparation in view of bone transplant; Equipment for bone bank conservation -Modernizing radiology equipments for minimizing radiation level for roentgen diagnosis -Service and maintenance for medical equipments: infusion pumps, monitors, lung ventilators, electrosurgical equipments -Research activities and collaboration with many hospitals and physicians in Romania Research in the field of Data Logger type portable devices for recording physical measures ( temperature, humidity, pressure, etc.) : -Selection of sensors types and signal conditioning -Realization of a Data Logger type device and specialized PC software

-Experimentation in the field of monitoring environment parameters

  1. Theoretical and technological studies for realization of micromechanical components by chemical corrosion

  2. Research and realization of computer aided electronic systems for monitoring the environment parameters

-coordinates measuring machine

-geometrical dimensions measuring equipments

-ultrasonic measuring equipments

-laser measuring equipments

  1. Application of statistical methods for experimental data interpretation

  2. Progamming in Visual C++6.0, Visual Basic 6.0, Assembler for microprocessors, VBA, Oracle, Forms &Reports, ASP, LabVIEW 6 environment.

III. Description of our contribution to JPAs

1.       Investigating the necessary standards, regulations and directives at an European level

2.       Research activities for realization of Data Base System: ·         Data Base will consist of signal patterns corresponding to each monitoring disease.

·         Analysis and selection of necessary sensors for the project
