DESCRIPTION OF OUR INSTITUTE SKILLS 

 

“Prof. N. C. Paulescu” Institute of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases offers multidisciplinary clinical care for the patients of all ages and with all type of diabetes (45000 cases only in Bucharest). Our major departments are: Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Renal Diseases and Dialysis, Metabolic Emergencies in Diabetes, Ophthalmology, Diabetic Foot, Cardiology, Education, Dietetics, Functional Exploration Laboratory, Clinical Laboratory of Medical Analysis and Anatomo-pathology Laboratory.

 

Our institute performs basic and clinical research activities in the field of metabolic diseases. The major areas of interest are: neuro-electrophysiology, nutrition, genetics, epidemiology and immunology related to metabolic diseases.

 

We also conduct the diabetes training for students at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, as well as the postuniversitary training for residents in Diabetology.

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF OUR CONTRIBUTION TO JPA

 

We are very interested in clinical experimentation for integrated activities. We would like to bring a contribution as partners to designing, building up, testing and implementing of I3 and I7 projects.

 

I3 – Monitoring dietotherapy of patients with metabolic diseases.

I7 – CAMS – Computer aided monitoring system for diagnostic and treatment of DM.
